Kathi Wall grew up in rural New York State. She was significantly influenced by her grandfather, a vegetable farmer who used horses to hay and plow his fields. When she moved to a small mid-state town, and later entered the large urban centers in New York State, she always carried with her a love for the earth.

Ms. Wall is a registered nurse. She received a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Sociology from Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, New York. During her professional career, she has started and operated cancer clinics, developed organ transplant programs, and opened centers for high risk children and adolescents. She initiated science, art and history classes and workshops as a means of supporting counseling services for families and youth. Ms. Wall has served on a variety of non-profit boards for science education, child abuse, and domestic violence. She is the recipient of a variety of awards, including a coveted fellowship with the Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Program.

Ms. Wall has lived for 35 years in a converted farmhouse in Belgrade with her husband of 40 years, Dr. Alexander Wall, III. They have two adult children; Alex (#4) is a lawyer in Portland, OR where he lives with his wife, Marie; Jennifer is a Nurse Practitioner living with her husband, Dr. Mark Derkazarian in the Boston area. They have two children, Claire and Charlie. Ms. Wall is delighted to bring her many years of experience to the initiation of this very important center for knowledge known as the Maine Lakes Resource Center.
