Mel Croft

Mel is a retired geologist who moved to the Belgrade Lakes region in 2007, with bachelor's and master's degrees in geology from the University of South Florida and the Florida State University. He is a board member of the East Pond Association and President of the Belgrade Lakes Regional Conservation Alliance (BRCA). Commited to the preservation of the Belgrade Lakes watershed, Mel is an avid fisherman and loves to hike, ski, and snow shoe, especially in the Kennebec Highlands. Other interests include the geology of the Kennebec Highlands, local history, and the exploration of outer space.
